Grant Applications

The mission of the NCHA Foundation is to support the NCHA by educating our youth, protecting the horse, preserving our past, and securing the future of the sport of cutting.

The NCHA Foundation is pleased to review requests that fulfill the following areas of focus that define the tenets of our organization: 

  • Youth Programs & Scholarships

  • Equine Welfare Research

  • Historical Preservation

  • Continued Education of the Sport of Cutting

 

Contact and Deadlines

Grant requests are currently reviewed once a year.  Submission deadlines are currently September 1st.  

All grant requests found to be within the NCHA Foundation’s areas of focus and are submitted in full by the due date will be reviewed by our board of trustees. Requests submitted after 11:59 pm CST on September 1st will be placed in the next grant cycle.  No late submissions will be accepted. Decisions for funding are made in September. Notifications and funding are both distributed shortly after the decisions.

Request for Proposal

Please provide the following information in your proposal:

  • A clear indication of the area(s) of focus you feel your request best aligns.

  • A brief explanation detailing the need for funding, benefit of funding, and projected outcome for your request.

  • A description of how you will measure the success/impact of the event, program, research etc. on your organization.

  • Date(s) and location of event, program, research etc.

  • A budget detailing how you intend to utilize the requested grant.

Applications are not complete unless all areas of the above form are complete. Should you wish to include additional information, please contact jbuswold@nchafoundation.com.
